TICKET INFORMATION
Tickets for the championships may be purchased online at www.ncaa.com/tickets. Tickets will be available to purchase at the Birmingham CrossPlex one (1) hour prior to the first event each day of competition. Ticket prices are listed below:
All Session Suite $60.00
All Session Reserved $50.00
All Session GA $35.00
Single Day Reserved $30.00
Single Day GA $20.00
*Two and under are free with the paid admission of an adult.
VENUE
The City of Birmingham is proud to have the CrossPlex as a national destination. Housing one of the fastest indoor hydraulic tracks in the world, an Olympic size swimming pool, a nine volleyball court venue, a 5,000 seat arena and a platform to develop many other sports; there’s no wonder why the CrossPlex has become a world renowned competition venue. The facility houses dedicated warm-up, training, media and management rooms, as well as VIP accommodations. With the track and field venue holding 4,000 and the indoor natatorium seating 1,500 the CrossPlex is quickly becoming the place to play. The CrossPlex is just minutes away from downtown Birmingham and easily accessible to and from hotels, restaurants plus it’s just ten miles from the airport.

From North
Follow I-65 South and take Exit 261B onto I-20/59
Take Exit 120 off I-20/59
Turn left onto Ensley Avenue and drive back over the interstate
Follow Ensley Avenue approximately 1 mile into Five Points West Intersection
Proceed through intersection onto Avenue W to enter CrossPlex
From South
Follow I-65 North through downtown Birmingham take Exit 261B to I-20/59
Take Exit 120 off I-20/59
Turn left onto Ensley Avenue and drive back over the interstate
Follow Ensley Avenue approximately 1 mile into Five Points West Intersection
Proceed through intersection onto Avenue W to enter CrossPlex
From East
From I-20 or I-59 merge onto I-20/59 West and follow signs to downtown Birmingham
Follow I-20/59 West to Exit 120
Take Exit 120 off I-20/59
Turn left at the second light onto Ensley Avenue and drive back over the interstate
Follow Ensley Avenue approximately 1 mile into Five Points West Intersection
Proceed through intersection onto Avenue W to enter CrossPlex
From West
Follow I-20/59 East to Exit 120
Take Exit 120 off I-20/59
Turn right onto Ensley Avenue
Follow Ensley Avenue approximately 1 mile into Five Points West Intersection
Proceed through intersection onto Avenue W to enter CrossPlex
Parking (Parking Map)
The Birmingham CrossPlex provides over 900 parking spaces located on property. There are front and rear turnabouts for bus and van drop-off as well as dedicated bus/van parking located in the back parking lot. The parking lot is equipped with 26 handicap parking spaces. There is a $5.00 parking fee for sporting events at the CrossPlex and a $5.00 parking fee for specialty events held at Bill Harris Arena.
ADA Parking
A limited number of designated parking areas is located at the front of the CrossPlex and in the back of the facility. The designated handicap parking spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis and cannot be reserved in advance. Please contact a parking attendant to assist with drop off or pick up arrangements. Guests in wheelchairs should enter the building at the Main Entrance (front of building).
The Bill Harris Arena has ADA parking located at the front entrance.
PROHIBITED ITEMS
The following items are prohibited inside the CrossPlex:
- Food or beverage (with the exception of food allergies)
- Cans, bottles, coolers or similar containers
- Laser pens or laser products
- Noise making devices (horns, whistles, etc.)
- Projectiles (including Frisbees and beach balls)
- Stickers of any kind
- Skateboards, skates (roller or in-line), heelies or scooters
- Sticks or poles
- Knives, guns, chains or clubs
- Illegal Substances
- Fireworks or any other incendiary device
- Weapons of any kind or any item that can be construed as a weapon
- Umbrellas
- Any other item deemed unacceptable by CrossPlex Management
CrossPlex reserves the right to make the final determination on prohibited items. Possession of prohibited items will be ground for ejection from CrossPlex.
HOST ORGANIZATIONS
The City of Birmingham and UAB have partnered together to bring the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field National Championship to Birmingham. This will mark the third time the city or state has hosted this event. The Birmingham CrossPlex is proud to host the championship and marks the eleventh NCAA national championship at the facility since opening in 2011. Both UAB and the Birmingham CrossPlex are committed to the importance of the student-athlete experience and are devoted to making this a first-class championship.
